Driving the Jaguar e type is an exhilarating experience, although it can also be a bit daunting at first. The power is immediately noticeable but with a bit of practice it becomes easier to control the car and the rpms are gradually increased as you learn the feel of the gearbox.
Wheelspin is a concern with this car but the Power-Lok differential helps to limit it. When we did not have the rear wheels spinning there was a considerable whine when cornering but at speed this was easily quelled.
We drove the e type with a good level of comfort, it is not intended for puttering around and a lot of luxuries are included in the price. Some of these are things that most drivers take for granted, like the headlight flasher, windshield washer and anti-glare rear view mirror.…
